If you have more than one plan and no postgraduate loan, you repay 9% over the lowest threshold of your plans. If you have a postgraduate loan too, that 6% is added on top.
Questions people ask
Which student loan plan am I on?
It depends on where and when you started your course. Check your Student Loans Company account or your payslip.
Is student loan taken before or after tax?
It is worked out on your pay before tax. It does not reduce your tax bill.
Can I be on two plans at once?
Yes. Tick both in the calculator. You repay 9% over the lowest threshold, plus 6% over £21,000 if you also have a postgraduate loan.
